Like with other models in the brand’s carafe family, the vacuum insulation technology helps promote advanced heat retention.

Vacuum insulation in Zojirushi’s select products refer to the method that sees the removal of air from in between the double layer of glass that make up the walls of the product. With the air gone, there forms a vacuum through which heat cannot transfer. As a result, the content of the carafe is undisturbed by the external temperature conditions while also eliminating the unsightly condensation from occurring on the outer walls of the product. An additional layer of silver plating in between the walls further strengthens the temperature retention by reflecting heat.
