The SM-SC series of Stainless Mugs from Zojirushi features a stylish lightweight and compact design, weighing as minimally as possible without budging from quality and efficiency, making it an ideal on the go mug. With three capacities and shades to choose from, the SM-SC Stainless Mug comes with a non-stick coating that makes the interior both long-lasting in use, as well as odour and stain resistant. The tight-fitting flip-open lid with a safety lock makes drinking from the mug easy and prevents beverages from spilling. The lid, along with the mug’s interior, stoppers, mouthpieces and all other plastic parts are manufactured using BPA-free materials.

The vacuum insulation technology used in these series work to keep the temperature of the beverage at a constant for hours by completely removing the air from in between the two layers of stainless steel that make up the walls of the mug. By doing so, a vacuum is created disabling any heat from travelling through air thus creating an advanced way of preserving heat. To strengthen this retention of temperatures, the insulated products feature a layer of copper or aluminum which help reflect the heat. The insulation of the body of product is aided by an airtight, insulated lid. The heat retention achieved through this technique helps keep the hot beverages still hot (rather than lukewarm) and cold beverages cool (rather than room temperature) for hours after filling when compared with products using either foam or double wall insulation.

Tip: It is recommended to pre-heat or pre-chill the mug with hot water or ice to help them preserve the beverage’s temperatures longer.
